This collection is inspired by royalty and created in memory of her Majesty. Queen Elizabeth’s fashion always amazes me whether it is from her early years or all time public facing outfits. For this project, I develop a collection towards formal gowns and tailored garments that can be worn on special occasions. I use Queen Elizabeth’s coronation images and some 1950s pictures. I find the ceremonial pieces interesting such as the imperial state crown, scepter, and orb, and I used them for silhouette and design development. I also utilize some jewel for decorative details. The fabrics and colors are also inspired by the Queen. I chose brocades and floral fabric to get royal vibe. The collection is targeted for young and mature ladies who need to dress up for an event and feel confident in what they wear.
